Blacksand is the homeworld of the Zubovs, from the Colony ship Romanov.
Industrial, Mining Colony
Blacksand, so named because of the sharp, icy cool and black dust scattered across most of the surface is nothing more than a prison disguised as a mining colony. To serve time in Blacksand is considered a death sentence, since breathing in the black dust particles inevitably leads to a painful death. The only colony of the planet is named ‘Jeltermann’ after the discoverer max Jeltermann.
